I had an interview today at a local TV station. I felt pretty good about the interview but then again I’ve felt pretty good about all the interviews I’ve had since I got out of school a year and a half ago.

On a semi related note, It was kind of neat to see the background working of the TV station. I mean it wasn’t eactly anything unexpected but it was still cool. He had the Control Room operator demonstrate the little push up advertisement system. The guy clicks a button on one monitor, then the feed monitor (showing what’s going out live now) shows up with a little Malcolm in the Middle plug at the bottom of the screen.

Thousands (probably hundreds, if that, given the time) of WB viewers this morning were treated to an advertisement at my expense. Anyway the basic job is to maintain thier equipment and computer servers. Something I could manage pretty easily. It also pays around $15 an hour at at least 40 hours a week. That comes out to around $600 a week, $2400 a month or around 31k a year. Plus he said there is generally some overtime if you want it.

I could live extremely comfortably on that.

My GF liked the idea of that too.
